Birthday Today - Fly Like An Eagle Version

It's amazing to remember after 35 years or so how big a deal rocker Steve Miller was in the mid 1970s when the Regular Guy was in high school, and it's amazing to think that he turns 68 today.   Miller was born in Milwaukee, and his music to me sounds like the Midwest -- guileless, a little bit naive, bourgeois, friendly.   Here's probably his biggest hit:



Makes me want to drive to Dupo, Illinois for a beer with the boys at the Sports Page Bar.
