Global Warming Scam

I haven't blogged about the global warming scam, because it seems like the hysteria has waned a bit.  I don't hear a lot of people in my office -- educated, affluent, savvy people in general, albeit Midwesterners -- worrying about global warming.   Perhaps there are still some folks somewhere on the Left Coast or in academia, closeted (or not so closeted) socialists, who still rattle on daily about the need to cut carbon emissions OR ELSE WE'RE ALL GOING TO HELL!   And, of course, the only way to do that is to have more government control of our economy and to have the Regular Guy give up some of his hard-earned cash and reduce the amount of his long-deferred gratifications.   But it sure seems like belief in global warming -- and it is a belief, not science -- has gone underground.

The problem is that the religion of global warming has already infiltrated into laws, regulations, textbooks, designs for new products, etc., not to mention the vast tax-and-spend industry of grants for scientific research.   So it seems an opportune time to remind ourselves what a scam it is.   Here is a great article on Doug Ross' blog with a series of photographs and charts that tell the story.   To give the flavor, here's where they choose to measure temperature in Marysville, California:
